The National Autism Training Programme for Psychiatrists

Welcome,

If you’re autistic and visiting a psychiatrist for your mental wellbeing you should expect them to understand your autism to best meet your needs. That's why I consider it a privilege to participate in the National Autism Training Programme for Psychiatrists.

At the Royal College of Psychiatrists (RCPsych), we've dedicated considerable effort to develop and deliver a comprehensive training programme, both in-person and online, tailored to psychiatrists nationwide. This programme is meticulously crafted through collaboration among leading clinicians, academics, and Experts by Experience.

Recently, I had the opportunity to deliver a lecture on autism diagnosis to over 200 senior psychiatrists embarking in the Enhanced Course. We’ve had positive feedback and it has been lovely to meet so many psychiatrists who have autism on their learning agenda.
